8:00 - MARISSA LEVY (NYC)
Marissa Levy writes songs because she needs an outlet for her emotions...therapy is expensive. This self-proclaimed chick-rocker seeks spiritual guidance from the folk and pop troubadours that she truly believed were children's singers as a tot, as well as modern chick rockers including Lisa Loeb and Jill Sobule. This combination causes her to emerge with a sound that falls somewhere not so neatly in between.
9:00 - JULIA OTHMER (Philadelphia, PA)
Sensual sultry pop/rock. Julia Othmer was nominated as Best Female Entertainer at the 2004 Philly Music Awards as well as Best Female Vocalist and Best Keyboardist. Sharing the stage with artists such as eastmountainsouth, Phil Roy, and Regina Spektor, she purrs, moans, and whispers into the mic. She has been selling out venues such as Philadelphia's prestigious Tin Angel and is preparing to release her debut CD, "oasis motel" this summer. She loves to wear stiletto heels.
10:00 - DAN KIBLER
(Harrisburg, PA)
The former frontman of El Kabong, Pennsylvania native Dan Kibler was a singer/songwriter who took his cue from the power pop of the Dwight Twilley Band and the country excursions of Neil Young. He released his debut LP Haunted in 1996; Capsule appeared two years later. —Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
11:00 - MUDFUNK (Albany, NY)
It certainly isn't every day that you come across a duo capable of crafting a sound big and soulful enough so that even audiences in typically placid venues are moved to hoot, holler, dance and throw money. But this is precisely the sort of response and enthusiasm that is being elicited by MUDFUNK (previously known as 'The Sean Rowe Project') -- a two-piece funk and soul collaboration headquartered in Albany NY.

THE LIGHTHOUSE

Outside Stage A
7:00 - K8 (Wilkes Barre, PA)
k8’s (pronounced Kate) debut EP Something Out of Nothing released in July combines acoustic rock and folk with elements of pop. The single “Wake Up” is currently receiving airplay in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area on WKRZ, WDMT and 97.9 The X.

Energetic punk pop with crunching guitars and anthemic hooks. Driving East has played with national acts such as Maroon 5, Sugarcult, Midtown, Fall Out Boy, Homegrown, and more. The band's members have played prestigious venues such as Washington DC's 9:30 Club and The State Theatre in Falls Church, VA. Already featured on DC101 and in The Washington Post, DE is set to explode with the fall release of their brand new EP produced by Matt Squire, who has worked with Thrice and Northstar among others.
11:00 - ALTERCANA (Lancaster, PA)
"We like to give people something they can sink their teeth into," says singer-songwriter A.J. Dodging the "bubble gum pop, bubble gum punk, bubble gum everything" epidemic, A.J. & Altercana honor heroes Bob Mould, Jeff Buckley, and Tom Petty with meaty guitar rock where lyrics rule. The result: American roots rock with a wry smirk.
12:20 - STEPHEN RESO (Harrisburg, PA)
Stephen's heartfelt emotional lyrics and soaring pop anthems have captivated audiences and packed venues across the country. The young man from Harrisburg has appeared on compilations with the likes of Material Issue, Matthew Sweet, Local H, The Posies, and more. 10:20 - THE SUCCESSFUL FAILURES (NJ)
Let the press strike off millions of copies! Let the electric currents sweep it around the world. Let them speak of it in fear and trembling. The Successful Failures have come. The fledgling roots-rock/hi-fi-pop side project of FDR-label owner and Dipsomaniacs' singer/songwriter Mick Chorba has come of age. The Successful Failures are secretly recording their first full-length CD to be released on the FDR label in the fall of 2005. Beware.
11:40 - BASTARDS OF MELODY (Jersey City, NJ)
The Jersey City power pop band, Bastards of Melody, newest CD, Break Up, was recently released on Face Down Records. The album consists of 10 succinct new songs ranging in style from high velocity, garage rock, to mid-tempo jangle-pop and even features an introspective acoustic ballad. No matter what style or speed, the Bastards remain true to their power-pop roots, keeping things melodic and catchy throughout. Look far a new album from FDR and the Bastards later this year.

THE RUSTY RUDDER

Stage A- Back Deck
7:40 - WAYNE SUPERGENIUS (York, PA)
From driving roots rock to melancholy, reverb-drenched twang to straight up bar room honky-tonk, Wayne Supergenius explores guilt, loss, hope and despair, all wrapped in sweet 70s California country style vocal harmonies. WSG delivers soulful, melodic country rock that sits somewhere between the Flying Burrito Brothers and early Wilco and goes down like a smooth, aged bourbon.
9:00 - AMUSIA (Boston, MA)
New England brothers Matt & Todd Russell join together with Nashville’s Ruth Peterson to form Boston’s Amusia, a powerhouse of driving acoustic guitars and dynamic grooves underneath lush, emotional vocals. Steve Morse of the Boston Globe wrote, “It revels in dreamy, hypnotic music sung by Nashville émigré Ruth Peterson, who sounds like a soul sister to Sarah McLachlan.”
10:20 - FEEL (Los Angeles, CA)
Fronted by former Wanderlust singer-songwriter and guitarist Scot Sax, the popular LA-based band also includes bassist Mark Getten (also from Wanderlust), drummer Phil Shrutt and guitarist Billy Alexander. 11:40 - DIRT BIKE ANNIE (Jersey City, NJ)
Dirt Bike Annie is: Swimming in the public pool. Riding in your friends car. Blasting punk rock in the parking lot of the mall. Staying out late on a school night. Swiping a bottle out of the liquor cabinet. And doing lots of whip-its.

11:00 - JUPITER SUNRISE (Los Angeles, CA)
Jupiter Sunrise shine clear and bright as a band who’s dynamic, riff-ridden story-telling, driving power-pop, and moody lamentations resound with as much range of feeling and rock smarts as the Beatles, the Who, and Weezer. The band has been touring nearly non-stop since their inception in the spring of 2002. Jupiter Sunrise features Mark Houlihan on guitar and vocals, Ben Karis on guitar and vocals, Aaron Case on bass guitar and Chris Snykus on drums and backing vocals.
12:20 - PAWNSHOP ROSES (Philadelphia, PA)
Pawnshop Roses write and mix various genres of music but always end up back with rock and roll. Paul Keen writes most of the songs, and he comes from a singer/songwriter background. In his music you can hear the Stones, Dylan, The Beatles and Humble Pie. Most of the guys have a solid blues rock background which is evident in their playing, but they are by no means limited to the blues. They combine soul, Saturday night guitars, melody, harmonies, storytelling and grooves, wrapped nicely all into one package.

12:20 - THE METROSEXUALS (Wilmington, DE)
If there were such a thing as reality, The Metrosexuals would sit comfortably in the space between it and simulation. Don't worry, the name is completely superficial; its the first clue to the group's respect for facades. Being fully aware of the impossibility of true originality, this eclectic 3-piece unit delivers infectious hooks that seem vaguely familiar, precisely crafted by brokenhearted machines hellbent on achieving high hopes, despite their low battery indicators.
