The Marlowes are a four-piece rock & roll/power pop band from
Providence, Rhode Island. The Marlowes' fourth full-length
disc, Sugarbursts and Thunderbolts, was released in late 2002
on Shiny Fly Records. The Marlowes' last album, Nuclear Suitcase,
was released on Shiny Fly in 2000 and made several critic's
"Best Of the Year" lists, received a glowing review in Rolling
Stone (Germany) and was voted by the listener's of Spain's
influential TELEMADRID RADIO 101.3 /106 FM as the best indie
album of the year.

The Dipsomaniacs are the longstanding melodic garage rockers
from New Jersey in love with rock and roll. They've released
several CDs, appeared on many compilations and have played
all over the place. Their biggest influences are the Who and
the Replacements, respectively. The Dipsomaniacs are currently
recording their next CD in Philadelphia at Indre Studios.
Look for a summer of 2003 release.

OF MELODY (JERSEY CITY, NJ)
The Jersey City power pop band, Bastards of Melody, newest
CD, Break Up, was recently released on Face Down Records.
The album consists of 10 succinct new songs ranging in style
from high velocity, garagey rock, to mid-tempo jangle-pop
and even features an introspective acoustic ballad. No matter
what style or speed, the Bastards remain true to their power-pop
roots, keeping things melodic and catchy throughout.

Roots, Eryka Badu), the self-titled "Black & White Album,"

Distortion and Down by Law with a unique and refreshing diversity.

rhythm, the music crescendos with a dynamic jolt before returning
gracefully to it's passive state.

Smit-Haus, best known for its inspired performances in the
New York City area, is a guitar-dnven rock band focusing on

Drywater is a NYC based hard edged pop trio. The band has
been together for over 5 years and has performed at many NYC
area clubs including CBGB's, Tramps, Maxwell's, and The Continental.
They have opened for the Damned, the Bouncing Souls, Groovie
Ghoulies, and Blank77. Drywater has just released their first
full length self-titled CD. From this CD, the instrumental
version of the song "Token" is now being featured on a National
TV advertisement for the new Mercedes station wagon.

Orange Park was formed in fall of 2000. After playing for
some time, the band moved into a small basement in New York
City, where they lived and rehearsed together. Writing countless
songs they quickly created a sound all their own. Brothers
Jeff and Justin share lead vocals and guitar, while Jaye and
Harv form a solid and dynamic rythym section. Orange Park
recently recorded their CD "the extended play" with producer
Pete Min.

New York City-based Field Trip is a fun; ferocious, four-piece
that combines hooky guitar parts, catchy choruses, and soaring
harmonies to create their own brand of power pop. After building
a following in Atlanta, GA playing at such venues as The Cotton
Club and The Star Bar, Field Trip has decided to bring the
band up north and expand on their musical talents and listeners.
Masterminded by Cord Weiss, Field Trip, is "more punky than
Weiss’ usual bubblegum pop leanings, but with more sugar than
a five-pound bag of Dixie Crystals (Creative Loafing, Atlanta)."

Les Sans Culottes are an international melange of musicians

Cordalene is one of the most exciting new bands to come out
of Philadelphia in a long time. Since the four members got
together in early 2002, they have already gigged with Weezer,
Dashboard Confessional, Sloan, Ultimate Fakebook, My Morning
Jacket, Marah, and others - in front of crowds up to 10,000.
In April 2002, they went into Indre Studios and cut a six
song demo (in only six hours!) that in July 2002 turned into
a self-released EP, Cordalene. The sound on the record is

Powerful, passionate and heartfelt, but can words truly describe
music? Destroy the Plot is the latest edition to New Jersey’s
hotbed of talent (Thursday, Saves the Day, Midtown). In June
of 2002, the band entered Big Blue Meenie studios armed with
producer Jerry Jones to begin work on a demo. Working with
Engineer Tim Gilles the band was able to bring out the true
colors of their music without losing an ounce of emotion.
The band has also managed to catch the attention of and forge
a relationship with producer Sal Villanueva whose credits
include Thursday's "Full Collapse," "Waiting" and Taking Back
Sunday's "Tell all your Friends".
