8:00 THE MARLOWES (PROVIDENCE, RI)
The Marlowes are a four-piece rock & roll/power pop band from Providence, Rhode Island. The Marlowes' fourth full-length disc, Sugarbursts and Thunderbolts, was released in late 2002 on Shiny Fly Records. The Marlowes' last album, Nuclear Suitcase, was released on Shiny Fly in 2000 and made several critic's "Best Of the Year" lists, received a glowing review in Rolling Stone (Germany) and was voted by the listener's of Spain's influential TELEMADRID RADIO 101.3 /106 FM as the best indie album of the year.

9:00 BLANK PAGES (SOUTH JERSEY, NJ)
Southern New Jersey's Blank Pages brew a tasty concoction of irresistible pop with influences ranging from the classics of the Beatles to 70s new wavers like the Knack and modern artists such as Superdrag. The band will follow up their debut 'Funny Pages" with another release on Face Down Records this spring.

10:00 TAGGART (NJ / PHILADELPHIA, PA)
Taggart (formerly Bender, which is better) is a tremendous rock and roll outfit from the depths of Blenheim. They record cheaply, with moderate results, and are in search of a label that doesn't make them tour. Please buy their CD's.

11:00 DIPSOMANIACS (NJ)
The Dipsomaniacs are the longstanding melodic garage rockers from New Jersey in love with rock and roll. They've released several CDs, appeared on many compilations and have played all over the place. Their biggest influences are the Who and the Replacements, respectively. The Dipsomaniacs are currently recording their next CD in Philadelphia at Indre Studios. Look for a summer of 2003 release.

12:00 BASTARDS OF MELODY (JERSEY CITY, NJ)
The Jersey City power pop band, Bastards of Melody, newest CD, Break Up, was recently released on Face Down Records. The album consists of 10 succinct new songs ranging in style from high velocity, garagey rock, to mid-tempo jangle-pop and even features an introspective acoustic ballad. No matter what style or speed, the Bastards remain true to their power-pop roots, keeping things melodic and catchy throughout.

SATURDAY, APRIL 26

7:00 THE HINT (WASHINGTON, DC)
Donned "the modern-day Clash," The Hint smashes DC's status quo, defying categorical boundaries. They are a phenomenon: creating the kind of universal appeal that unites young and old, defiant punks and cynical indie rockers, in lyric-chanting choruses. Produced by Grammy-winner David Ivory (INXS, The Roots, Eryka Badu), the self-titled "Black & White Album," serves up smart, upbeat, addictive songs. With guidance from Don Zientara (Fugazi, Minor Threat) the CD blends early Social Distortion and Down by Law with a unique and refreshing diversity.

Through Tangerine's passionate songwriting and moody, yet energetic pop melodies, they have captured the attention of listeners from all areas of the music spectrum. Singer, Tony Matz, combines his raw, yet sensual vocals, with lyrics that tap on the affection of all they touch.

9:00 JENNIFER ON SUNDAY (FAIRFAX, VA)
This power-trio from Vienna, VA recently released their new album "Paper Covers Rock" and their tour schedule is growing. The music is not to be forgotten, whether you label it as modern rock or alternative, it's absolutely radio friendly.

10:00 GRAZE (PHILADELPHIA, PA)
GRAZE is an independent, alternative-rock band that focuses on creating a unique sound within an energetic live performance. Voices, guitars and other electronic noises are layered over a precise rhythm section in order to build a wall of sound. Once the groove is set and the listener entwined with the rhythm, the music crescendos with a dynamic jolt before returning gracefully to it's passive state.

11:00 SMIT HAUS (NEW YORK, NY)
Smit-Haus, best known for its inspired performances in the New York City area, is a guitar-dnven rock band focusing on memorable vocal melodies that blend the lyrical rock of Weezer and Tom Petty with the syncopation of The Police.

12:00 DRYWATER (NEW YORK, NY)
Drywater is a NYC based hard edged pop trio. The band has been together for over 5 years and has performed at many NYC area clubs including CBGB's, Tramps, Maxwell's, and The Continental. They have opened for the Damned, the Bouncing Souls, Groovie Ghoulies, and Blank77. Drywater has just released their first full length self-titled CD. From this CD, the instrumental version of the song "Token" is now being featured on a National TV advertisement for the new Mercedes station wagon.

7:00 BRICKFOOT (BALTIMORE, MD)
Brickfoot is an experienced, mature five-piece band hailing from Baltimore, MD. Song writing is top priority, featuring both melodic musical and vocal hooks. This formula has helped the band to reach accomplishments that prove them to be far more than a "local" band.

8:20 THE UNDERWATER (YORK, PA)
Tribunal Records Recording Artists The Underwater provide a roller coaster of emotionally charged, driving rock anthems on their EP "Bleed Me Blue", released January 28, 2003. "'Usually, a band is a band for years,' said Paul Conroy, director of A&R at Roadrunner Records. 'The comment is, 'You guys are great live but you don’t have any songs.' 7:40 ROCKET TRANSFER WAREHOUSE (BALTIMORE, MD)
RTW are a pop/rock band from Baltimore, MD. Their independently released/nationally distributed album “Arrival”, features songwriting influenced by Squeeze, Elvis Costello, Jellyfish, and Matthew Sweet, to name a few. They are currently working on a follow-up disc.

9:00 FOUR MINUTE MILE (BETHLEHEM, PA)
Looking for a sound you won't soon forget? Then look no further. Rooted in Eastern Pennsylvania's growing indie rock scene, Four Minute Mile is a band about to break free and run!

10:20 ORANGE PARK (BROOKLYN, NY)
Orange Park was formed in fall of 2000. After playing for some time, the band moved into a small basement in New York City, where they lived and rehearsed together. Writing countless songs they quickly created a sound all their own. Brothers Jeff and Justin share lead vocals and guitar, while Jaye and Harv form a solid and dynamic rythym section. Orange Park recently recorded their CD "the extended play" with producer Pete Min.

11:40 FOREVER MOON (BALTIMORE, MD)
In their brief time on the music scene, Forever Moon has made quite a name for themselves, performing up and down the east coast and drawing critical acclaim from many regional publications all the way up to the editor at Rolling Stone magazine. With two albums under their belt, the most recent (FM Radio) recorded alongside Atlanta producer Matt Goldman and Rodney Mills (Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Sheryl Crow), they're back on the road this summer lighting up the stages up and down the coast while continuing to establish themselves as one of the premier bands in the Mid-Atlantic region. With a solid following and growing fan base, their first single "Win You Over" is already receiving airplay at over 40 station regionally and is fast becoming a sure-fire hit.

7:00 FIELD TRIP (NEW YORK, NY)
New York City-based Field Trip is a fun; ferocious, four-piece that combines hooky guitar parts, catchy choruses, and soaring harmonies to create their own brand of power pop. After building a following in Atlanta, GA playing at such venues as The Cotton Club and The Star Bar, Field Trip has decided to bring the band up north and expand on their musical talents and listeners. Masterminded by Cord Weiss, Field Trip, is "more punky than Weiss’ usual bubblegum pop leanings, but with more sugar than a five-pound bag of Dixie Crystals (Creative Loafing, Atlanta)."

8:20 PAT DINIZIO (NEW YORK, NY)
For the past 22 years, Pat DiNizio has been the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and songwriter for the American rock n' roll band known as The Smithereens. We have toured non-stop since the inception of the band, and have recorded and released many albums throughout the course of our career; several certified Gold and Platinum, among them, "ESPECIALLY FOR YOU,", "GREEN THOUGHTS", "SMITHEREENS ELEVEN", "BLOW-UP", "A DATE WITH THE SMITHEREENS", "BLOWN TO SMITHEREENS", "ATTACK OF THE SMITHEREENS", AND "GOD SAVE THE SMITHEREENS"; albums that spawned Top 40 radio hits such as "A GIRL LIKE YOU", "TOO MUCH PASSION", "BLOOD AND ROSES", "ONLY A MEMORY" and "BEHIND THE WALL OF SLEEP"... Zonana has carved out a fairly successful career as a producer/engineer, but his work as a modern rock artist seems to be top priority these days. Zonana proves himself a capable songwriter, expressing both heartfelt ideas and zany stories with clarity. Imagine a cross between Angie Aparo and Matthew Sweet, with a little bit of soul thrown in the mix. Any one of the 10 tracks on GUINEA PIGS (Zonana's new release) would, and should, be all over your radio in a perfect world.

9:00 JOE MANNIX (NEW YORK, NY)
Joe Mannix is a singer/songwriter from New York City. Bongobeat Records recently released his solo album "White Flag" to a worldwide audience. An exciting mix of pop, folk and punk. Joe is constantly touring and garnering airplay, fans and a reputation as a formidable live act either solo or with his trio. The Dent, an art pop quartet from Connecticut, has been likened to a diverse array of artists ranging from Paul Simon to Cheap Trick to REM. And after 10 years of writing, recording, performing and maturing together, The Dent has culled their collective experiences and created their first masterpiece, "Farewell,” available online and at better music stores 2/25/03.

Another Lincoln is a Baltimore based, female fronted rock group that infuses a myriad of styles such as punk, alternative, hard rock and pop into its music. Another Lincoln is known for its energentic live performance, inspiring lyrics and catchy hooks.

8:20 CLIFF HILLIS & THE FORWARD THINKERS (WILMINGTON, DE)
Cliff Hillis now has the opportunity to showcase his musical skills with the release of his debut album Be Seeing You on NotLame Records. Contemplative singer/songwriter one minute, power popper the next, enigmatic love song balladeer three and a half minutes after that. You may think that you are hearing Paul McCartney meeting Michael Penn at a Posies reunion but you would be wrong. It's that East coast beach boy Cliff Hillis.

11:00 LES SANS CULOTTES (NEW YORK, NY)
Les Sans Culottes are an international melange of musicians now based in Brooklyn, New York. Influenced by 1960's French ye-ye pop, Les Sans Culottes filter those sounds through their own garage-hewn pop sensibility. Known for their furious, attitude drenched Grand Guignol live shows, the New York Daily News recently noted, "Over the last six years, the Brooklyn-based septet has earned a reputation for excessively fabulous performances and intoxicatingly catchy pop in the mold of Serge Gainsbourg and Jacques Dutronc." (NY Daily News, 2/22/02) Les Sans Culottes have been praised by Le Press Americain in The Village Voice, The New Yorker, and The New York Times, were voted Best Local Unsigned Band in New York by Citysearch.com (Editor's Choice and Audience Choice) 2000, and selected as an A&R pick-of-the-week by CMJ Weekly.

12:20 CORDALENE (PHILADELPHIA, PA)
Cordalene is one of the most exciting new bands to come out of Philadelphia in a long time. Since the four members got together in early 2002, they have already gigged with Weezer, Dashboard Confessional, Sloan, Ultimate Fakebook, My Morning Jacket, Marah, and others - in front of crowds up to 10,000. In April 2002, they went into Indre Studios and cut a six song demo (in only six hours!) that in July 2002 turned into a self-released EP, Cordalene. The sound on the record is fast, raw, and honest --just like their live shows.

5:00 KEITH LUBRANT BAND (PHILADELPHIA, PA)
Combining radio ready hooks, catchy melodies, and powerful guitars, Keith LuBrant will get your attention. The Philadelphia musician's original songs of off his CD, Face In The Crowd, will be featured on the upcoming seasons of MTV's Sorority Life and Fraternity Life.

6:20 THE BENNIES (DILLSBURG, PA)
The Bennies' unique recipe of sound blends edgy rock guitar riffs, catchy melodic vocals, and driving juggernaut rhythms with a heavy psychedelic dose of Modern '67. They recently toured with Frank Black and have recorded with studio maven Steve Albini.

11:00 THE ROSENBERGS (NEW YORK, NY)
The Rosenbergs are a band of New York City-based musicians whose jet-propelled pop has made them one of the hottest acts on the indie scene. The Rosenbergs have been able to achieve mass media exposure in the U.S. Their music has been heard on numerous TV shows, including Dawson's Creek, MTV's Real World and Undergrads, Fox's Party of Five and ESPN's Summer X-Games, as well as The Howard Stern Show, XM Radio, Sirius Satellite Radio and numerous commercial, college and Internet radio stations. The Rosenbergs have just completed their third CD with production wizard Keith Cleversley (Flaming Lips, Hum, Posies, Spiritualized). The songs represent the next step in what is certain to be a dazzling career, and reinforce the widely held belief that The Rosenbergs are here to stay.

The Village Voice describes Jonny Lives! as Post-Radiohead pop/rock with screaming guitars and airy vocals- You owe it to yourself to see them!" Jonny Lives! is playing an NME magazine festival in London, and touring through Prague and Stockholm in support of their independent e.p release. Bassist Mikki James lives with Nick from The Strokes, and is in a band with The Strokes manager Ryan Gentiles called The Shetland Pony (also w/ Jodi from Fountains of Wayne). Singer Jonny Dubowsky has played with Sean Lennon, The Wu Tang Clan, Ours, The Strokes, Stevie Wonder (at age 14) and many others. Check out this "bombastic garage rock at it's finest" in a small venue while you still can.

Charlotte, NC-based musician Ed James is a guy who definitely knows his way around a pop hook. With two CDs to his credit ("Meet Ed James!" & his latest, "Poprocket"), he's winning over fans of melodic rock around the world.

9:00 SATELLITE BISHOPS (CARROLLTON, TX)
"Human Cannonball," Satellite Bishop's debut single, is proof that this brand new trio from Texas shows that they have what it takes to play in the big leagues. 11:40 DESTROY THE PLOT (TOTOWA, NJ)
Powerful, passionate and heartfelt, but can words truly describe music? Destroy the Plot is the latest edition to New Jersey’s hotbed of talent (Thursday, Saves the Day, Midtown). In June of 2002, the band entered Big Blue Meenie studios armed with producer Jerry Jones to begin work on a demo. Working with Engineer Tim Gilles the band was able to bring out the true colors of their music without losing an ounce of emotion. The band has also managed to catch the attention of and forge a relationship with producer Sal Villanueva whose credits include Thursday's "Full Collapse," "Waiting" and Taking Back Sunday's "Tell all your Friends".
