MENTORING/DEMO LISTENING SESSIONS
The Dewey Beach Music Conference and Festival Mentoring Sessions offer unique networking opportunities. All showcase performers and registrants can sign up for 20 minute sessions with a select group of music industry professionals. Meet one-on-one with someone who can help your act chart a course for success. Get the information and contacts you can use to advance your career. Your session also includes demo listening and critique. Artists should submit their best work and be prepared for some knee-jerking opinions and critiques regarding production, structure, vocal/lyrical content and musicianship.

MUSIC INDUSTRY MEET & GREET

Designed exclusively for the Dewey Beach Music Conference and Festival, the industry meet and greets are 60-90 minute sessions in the Booksandcoffee House. A group of top industry pros will speak on hot topics relevant to emerging talent and take questions from the group. Informal and laid back, complete with comfy chairs and fresh brewed coffees, these sessions give performers and registrants the time and place to get up close and personal.

Maximizing your Project's Potential. Peer/Mentor Discussion Group

Instead of being spoken "at" in a panel format, this will be a round-table format. The goal is for the music industry in general to chat about what is working in this new digital age of music. Everyone knows the old model of the music industry does not work anymore. But what is working?

This event will be hosted by Blake Althen and Paula Bellenoit of Human Factor; Madalyn Sklar of GoGirlsMusic.com & IndieMusicCoach and Steven Trumbull of The Music Business Registry.

Speed Networking for the Music Industry

It takes 5 minutes to meet a new person and decide whether you can do business with them or not. By meeting 10 people, your chances of meeting that vital contact are increased substantially.

Human Factor has been facilitating "Speed Music Industry Networking" for over 2 years. Breaking the ice has never been easier, more efficient, or more comfortable. In this round-table style event, you will expand your contacts quickly and effectively by meeting TEN TIMES the amount of contacts in the time it would usually take to meet one. In this 45-minute seminar, you will have the opportunity to quickly and comfortably meet and talk to a variety of music industry players in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

Learn unique networking techniques and put them to use. Express your own opinions as well as hear from others in the industry. No matter what your role or length of experience, everyone from artists, lawyers, record labels, managers, etc, will benefit from the combined experience in the room. By the end of the session, you'll have met everyone in the room, and will have learned what they can or can't do for you.

Don't forget your demos and business cards! Due to the popularity and nature of this type of event, seats fill extremely quickly. Pre-registration is highly recommended.

Round Table Hosts will include:
Madalyn Sklar of GoGirlsMusic.com & IndieMusicCoach
Blake Althen and Paula Bellenoit of Human Factor
Steve Trumbull of Music Business Registry

THIS EVENT USUALLY FILLS UP. Save your seat at the Music Business Registry Booth at the tradeshow.
