MCMF is a mix of reggae, ska, punk, and funk music. Influenced
mostly by
Sublime, George Clinton, and The Bosstones, we try to blend their
music as much
as possible to create our own sound.
8:00 STU (ONEONTA, NY)
Formed in 1998 in Oneonta, NY, Stu’s blend of ska,
punk, metal, rock, and blues has helped their fan base
grow to include Binghamton, Syracuse, Albany, Long
Island, Upper Pennsylvania, Poughkeepsie, New Paltz,
and all points in between.

7:00 RHYTHM PLANT (EDISON, NJ)
Rhythm Plant was formed with the idea that musicians spanning broad genres could
creatively come together to produce a signature sound. We believe we have not only
accomplished this goal, but we are very enthusiastic and proud to
present our contribution to you.
With influences such as the Black Crowes, Jack Johnson,
The Meters, G&R, and a variety of blues, our melting pot
of musicians makes for an innovative and interesting sound.
8:00 THE SLICKED UP 9'S (BETHLEHEM, PA)
The Slicked Up 9's draw on swing, jazz, blues, and ska influences
to create an energetic
jump-swing mix. They have performed throughout the Mid-Atlantic,
at some of the most
exclusive clubs in Manhattan and with the Grmnmy-winning Brian
Setzer Orchestra.
9:00 KNAPADOME SPEEK (NEWPORT, DE)
Based out of Delaware, a beautiful blend of jazz, rock, funk and techno,
all wrapped up in one hip-hop package. Introducing Crabapple the lyricist,
Longstroke the freestyle master, and Twig, thr group's producer and DJ.
10:00 THE BLUE METHOD (BROWN MILLS, NJ)
The Blue Method brings together the sounds of old school soul and douses it
with a modern influence of the fusion, funk, and experimental rock sounds
of today. Vocalist Brian Williams'
lyrics carry the message of spirituality and self-conciousness in a time
where music seems to be in a very unconscious state.
Behind him is a layered soundscape of grooves and
boundary stretching music in which influences range from Marvin Gaye, Stevie
Wonder, Miles Davis, Radiohead, and The Meters just to name a few.
11:00 RED PILL (BOSTON, MA)
These Boston upstarts have the raw energy of true
underground
revolutionaries. Political lyrics, freestyle poetry, live
electronic production, and the
unmistakable voice of lead singer Toussaint have won Red Pill a
dedicated fan base in
New England.
12:00 POWER MOVEMENT PROJECT (ANNAPOLIS, MD)
Musical style: Hip Hop, Reggae, Funk.
Power Movement Project began in the summer of 2000. Over
the last two years the band has performed in the Baltimore I
Washington region and released their debut album entitled
"SELF" in Jan of 2002. Since the release, Power Movement
Project has opened for nationals such as Busta Rhymes,
Fishbone and Sister Carol.
